Why Are Eco-Left Groups In Charge At the City of Albuquerque? January 23, 2020 It all started with a simple question to the City of Albuquerque about their failed renewable standards. We sent an email to sustainability@cabq.gov to ask our question. So, why did the response come from the Natural Resources Defense Council? How is it that a special interest green group like the NRDC is responding to taxpayers on behalf of the City of Albuquerque? Let’s put aside for a moment that someone working for the City of Albuquerque lists their contact number with a New York City area code. The larger question here is how a special interest group is so brazenly implanted within the administration of Mayor Tim Keller. There’s no doubt Mayor Keller is a big fan of former New York City Mayor Michel Bloomberg. However, is that relationship so strong that the Bloomberg funded American Climate Cities Challenge is allowed to put NRDC personnel on staff with the city? We’re going to try and find out.
