New Mexico Gun Ban: First Step In Their Perpetual Power Grab, Climate On Deck

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-NM) has gotten herself in hot water. This past weekend she declared gun violence and drug abuse a public health emergency. This comes as many politicians are calling for a declaration of a climate emergency. 

New Mexico Representative Melanie Stansbury (D-NM-01) called for a climate emergency to be declared soon after President Biden falsely claimed that he had already  “practically” declared a climate emergency.  

“A temporary gun grab is just the first step toward a totalitarian left-wing takeover. Make no mistake, climate is the next domino to fall,” said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “While they’ve been discussing their climate emergency plan for over a year, the Biden Administration is incredibly quiet about how it would impact our families. However, don’t be surprised to see power-hungry politicians and ideologues like Michelle Lujan Grisham lock us down while making sure their own jets keep flying. New Mexico is the first, but likely won’t be the last kind of outrageous overreach.”

If the past three years of COVID-19 have taught us anything, it’s that the government will use an emergency declaration to control multiple aspects of our lives. We cannot let a climate emergency be the next one. This administration has already crushed the American energy sector, and a climate emergency would ensure economic disaster.
