Eco-Left Agenda Is Slowing Our Economic Recovery

After one month in office, what many economic experts predicted is clear – President Biden’s agenda is hurting the economy, and ultimately slowing down our financial recovery from Covid-19. Biden is even acknowledging these economic struggles, but, clearly, he is not recognizing their cause.

Fox News reports:

“It’s very clear our economy is still in trouble,” Biden told reporters earlier Friday. “We added just 6,000 private sector jobs in the country last month. Overall, we added 49,000 jobs, and this at a time when we have more than 10 million people out of work…These aren’t Democrats or Republicans. They’re Americans and they’re suffering.”

He is absolutely right, and many of these Americans are struggling as a direct result of the decisions he’s made while in office. Thousands of jobs were lost as a result of his executive order to halt the Keystone XL Pipeline project, and hundreds of thousands more will be lost as he follows through on his promise to cancel all projects in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

This is all not even to mention the long-term economic consequences of instituting a larger Green New Deal – the damage of which Power The Future has outlined in a previous report. President Biden said it himself: Americans are struggling, and we need to set politics aside. That means encouraging practical policies that are proven to create jobs and generate revenue, not signing executive orders to appease a radical voter base.
