Biden’s War on Home Appliances Continues

The eco-left has added another home appliance to their ban list in the name of climate change. This time the Biden Administration is coming after your dishwasher. The Department of Energy (DOE) has proposed a new rule that would cut water and energy limits for dishwashers. 

Fox Business reports on the proposed DOE rule,

“The proposal would limit dishwashers to using 3.2 gallons of water per cycle, far below the current federal limit of 5 gallons. The rules would also require manufacturers to reduce their products’ energy consumption by nearly 30%. Most dishwashers on the market are already well below the federal standard of 5 gallons, with most using 3.5 gallons per cycle or less.”

Your dishwasher is just the latest casualty in the war on fossil fuels. The list already includes gas vehicles, lawnmowers, air conditioning, gas furnaces and most infamously gas stoves. Some of the proposed rulings and bans seem so farfetched, but unfortunately, the eco-left is making them a reality. 

“Nobody is taking away your gas stove,” Schumer tweeted in early February. “Shameless and desperate MAGA Republicans are showing us they will cook up any distraction to divert from real issues the American people want solved, like the debt ceiling.”

Senator Schumer’s (D-NY) words do not age well as his home state New York became the first state to pass legislation to ban gas stoves. This is another example of government overreach; the Biden administration must stay out of our homes. With the list growing, we can’t help but wonder what’s the next eco-left target.
