The SJGS station has provided reliable and affordable power for decades while also serving as an economic driver to Northwest New Mexico. Sadly, eco-extremists have worked to undermine the station to the point to where it’s currently slated to close in 2022. Now, state regulators are deciding how to replace the massive power loss from the station and the eco-left is demanding solar sources as the only answer. The decision comes just as Power The Future releases a study showing how the materials needed for solar panels are mostly made in China, a nation with a terrible human rights and environmental record.
