Will Warren Turn Her Back On Hard-Working Oklahomans? December 19, 2019 On Sunday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren will host a town hall meeting in Oklahoma City. A Native Oklahoman, Warren is going to return to her alma mater, Northwest Classen High School. Harold Hamm, chairman and CEO of Continental Resources, sent a letter to Warren about the state’s oil and gas industry. According to The Oklahoman: One of Oklahoma’s top energy executives is inviting Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren to spend some time learning more about the industry as she prepares for a town hall meeting Sunday in Oklahoma City. Harold Hamm, chairman and CEO of Continental Resources, said Wednesday he hopes to visit a well site with Warren while she is here and to have a conversation with her. In his letter, Hamm highlights the positive economic impact the industry has on the state: One out of every four jobs in the state is tied directly to oil and natural gas. The industry has contributed over $2 billion to education in the last decade for the students of our state. Yesterday, Warren reiterated her support for the job-killing Green New Deal. As she returns home, will she take the men and women in Oklahoma whose jobs are on the line thanks to her policies into consideration and join Hamm on a tour of the industry? Power the Future applauds Hamm for setting the record state on the oil and gas industry and its positive impact on the lives of Oklahomans. Elizabeth Warren Back to Blog Posts
