West Virginia AG: I’m going to Reach Out to New Mexico Over Biden’s Drilling Bans

January 29, 2021

At least one state leader is looking to reach out to New Mexico to figure out how to respond to Joe Biden’s recent climate order.

As the impact of President Biden’s disastrous executive order is learned throughout the country, Governors in energy-rich states are responding. In Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott signed his own orders and is examining legal options to fight back.

Meanwhile, a week after Biden’s first orders, New Mexico’s Governor continues to say she wants to “study” and “review” the issue more. However, that’s not good enough for some other states.

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey told Fox News he will be reaching out to New Mexico because they are disproportionately affected in terms of federal lands.

While New Mexico’s own Governor continues to “study” the problem, officials in other states already know New Mexico is seriously impacted by Biden’s orders. It’s too bad Santa Fe is taking their time to figure it out.
