Tone Deaf: New Mexico Representatives “Exciting News” during Coronavirus Emergency April 1, 2020 While every American is struggling with the new reality brought about by the deadly Coronavirus, New Mexico Representative Debbie Armstrong wants you to know she has some “exciting news!” Exciting news during this difficult time: I am so honored to be endorsed by @RioGrandeSierra. The health of our environment is critical to the health of our state. I won't stop fighting for clean water, fresh air & beautiful land. #nmpol #nmleg #Vote2020 pic.twitter.com/XJaNdsLQte— Debbie Armstrong (@NMRepArmstrong) March 30, 2020 That’s right, she’s received the endorsement of New Mexico’s eco-left! The representative, and former business partner of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, feels while families are worried about their budgets, it’s important you know her eco-left green credit is still good. Given her desire to combine a public health emergency with special interest politics, we’d be curious to know if Rep. Armstrong supported delaying the critical Coronavirus relief bill for aspects of the Green New Deal? Fun fact: Rep Armstrong sent out her self-congratulatory tweet on the same day our state learned we’re facing a $2 billion shortfall due to the falling price of oil. We’ll anxiously wait for New Mexico’s upcoming legislative session to see if Rep. Armstrong recommends more windmills to make up for it. New Mexico Back to Blog Posts
