The Eco-left is Trying to Retrain the Media September 20, 2023 This week, the eco-left is hosting an event titled “Climate Changes Everything, Creating a Blueprint for Media Transformation” in New York. The event, which takes place at the Columbia Journalism School on September 21st & 22nd, promises an “unprecedented conversation about how to cover a world on fire.” Covering Climate Now describes the event, Through panels, workshops, and more, we aim to challenge colleagues in newsrooms worldwide to tackle the climate story with more urgency, depth, and creativity than ever before. Speakers will include reporters, editors, and news executives from Agence France-Presse, the Associated Press, CBS News, Puerto Rico’s Center for Investigative Journalism, France Télévisions, the Guardian, South Florida’s NBC 6, NowThis, Telemundo, TIME, The Times of India, and The Weather Channel, among many other outlets, large and small.
