Standing Up to the Radical Environmental Agenda? The Eco-Left Can’t Stand to Hear It in New Mexico.

February 12, 2020

There are two bills languishing in the New Mexico capitol building that aim to fight back against the radical eco-left…and they can’t get a single hearing.

The first bill would simply modify New Mexico’s version of the Green New Deal to keep electricity rates from skyrocketing. In a state where many working families struggle to make ends meet, you would think protecting them against higher electric bills would be worthy of lawmakers’ time.

However, it goes against the eco-left’s agenda that forces New Mexicans to pay for more expensive energy, so the bill hasn’t received a single hearing.

Next is a bill to stop Michael Bloomberg from funding his own environmental lawyers within the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office. For all the crocodile tears the eco-left cries about the influence of money in politics, you would think they would be on board.

Again, the bill can’t get a single hearing.

The New Mexico legislative session only lasts 30 days so each passing day is a lost opportunity. Why can’t lawmakers simply hear these bills and then vote? Perhaps it’s because they know their eco-left enablers want them to vote against New Mexico’s families.

And since that’s the reality, radical environmentalists know it’s best not to hear the bills at all.
