President Trump Praises Energy Workers In Louisiana For Powering “American Energy Revolution” May 15, 2019 President Trump has allowed America’s energy industry to flourish, putting us on a path to finally become energy independent. Yesterday, the President traveled to Louisiana to tout his administration’s energy victories, and he took time to praise the hardworking men and women in the energy industry who have made it happen. He said that energy workers were fueling an energy “revolution.” “Today we celebrate the amazing workers at Sempra LNG,” said President Trump. “From right here in Hackberry, Louisiana, you are bringing clean, natural gas to countries all over the globe. The skilled and talented 7,000 workers here at this facility are helping lead the American energy revolution.” During his speech, President Trump also slammed the Green New Deal as an extreme plan that would put energy workers out of a job. “Everybody in this room gets fired,” said the President about the Green New Deal, as he addressed the crowd of energy workers. “Everybody go home, you just lost your jobs,” he exclaimed. President Trump is right. The Green New Deal would decimate the energy industry and throw hundreds of thousands of Americans who work in the gas, oil and coal industries out of work. Finally, someone is recognizing energy workers’ contribution to American greatness and standing against extreme policies that would destroy their jobs and families.
