Power The Future Energy Roadmap to Restore American Strength

Last week, the American people made it abundantly clear that our country needs to take a different direction. Power The Future has put together a five-point energy roadmap to reverse the failure of the Biden-Harris administration, which fueled record gasoline prices and the highest inflation in decades.

The five actions include:

1. Rescinding every Biden anti-energy executive order – The Biden-Harris administration ruled through executive orders. Specifically, executive orders cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline and re-joining the failed Paris Climate accords. These, and many others, should be rescinded on the first day.

2. Reintroducing and passing the Lower Energy Costs Act – Early in the last Congress, the House passed HR 1 to eliminate the tax on natural gas and take other critical energy steps. The measure never received a hearing in the Democratic-controlled Senate.

3. Defunding the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) – The IRA has become nothing more than the biggest green slush fund in American history. Congress should immediately repeal the law and the Trump Administration should stop all payments and credits. One especially egregious example includes $50 million to one activist group so they could protest and claim ‘Free Palestine Is a Climate Justice Issue.’

4. Rolling back Biden-Harris administrative rules – By bypassing Congress, the Biden-Harris administration forced much of the Green New Deal through rules not requiring a congressional vote. Attacks on American appliances and electric vehicle mandates are just a few examples of these rules.

5. Dismantling and investigating the office of the Climate Czar – Under the Biden-Harris administration, John Kerry and John Podesta were in charge of a secret climate office run out of the White House. This office should be eliminated, and investigations should begin into the spending and actions of this office over the last four years.

“Joe Biden wasted no time firing thousands of Americans on his first day, so President Trump and the new Congress don’t have a second to spare in trying to undo the damage,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “No doubt, former Biden-Harris officials will want soft landings at green companies or non-profits, so shutting down the taxpayer funded gravy train is imperative. The sooner the new leadership in Washington takes a hammer to the green agenda, the sooner American families will find relief from high prices.”

Unfortunately, this administration is not losing gracefully and is working to jam through as many eco-left policies as they can before the new administration takes over. Yesterday, the Biden-Harris administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a new rule  imposing a hefty methane fee on oil and gas companies, showing how Biden-Harris listens to the eco-left, not the American people.
