New Mexico Governor Works Less Than Half a Day, Yet Makes Time for Radical Environmentalists

October 7, 2020

While over 100,000 of her constituents are unemployed, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is working less than 4 hours a day. According to the Governor’s posted schedule for the week of September 21st, she worked just under 19 hours for the entire week.

Keep in mind, while the Governor is “earning” $174,000 a year her state has the 6th highest unemployment in the nation.

During this crisis in her state, Governor Lujan Grisham is spending her valuable time pandering to radical environmentalists. The same week the Governor was barely working she found over 2 hours to spend with the U.S. Climate Alliance where she told the audience, “We need to transition out of fossil fuels.”

Nearly 40 percent of the state budget, including the Governor’s salary, comes from fossil fuel revenue. Power The Future has joined other New Mexico business groups in demanding the Governor to give up her paycheck until the state’s unemployment improves.

After all, it appears she’s already given up on working.
