New Mexico Energy Jobs on a 10-Year Low, Even Before Biden’s Orders March 17, 2021 If you’re a leader in New Mexico, you definitely aren’t proud of the latest unemployment numbers for your state. In data released on Monday, New Mexico now ranks 48th in the nation for the highest unemployment rate. The state now “enjoys” an unemployment rate over two points higher than the national average. The news gets even more difficult as for the eighth month in a row New Mexico now has the fewest energy jobs in over 10 years. Even worse, the latest numbers reported are from January before President Biden’s moratorium on production had taken full effect. The disastrous decisions coming out of Washington and Santa Fe have very real consequences that radical environmentalists will never admit.
