Nantucket Beach Full of Fiberglass After Wind Turbine Malfunction

July 18, 2024

A wind turbine’s malfunction forced the closure of a half-dozen Nantucket beaches this past week as debris and fiberglass shards from a nearby wind farm washed ashore. The federal government stepped in and shut down the Vineyard Wind farm until further notice. The cause of the malfunction is still unknown but highlights the problems with offshore wind.

CBS News reports,

Several beaches were closed on Tuesday while crews worked to clean up “large floating debris and fiberglass shards” from the broken wind turbine blade off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard. A total of six south shore Nantucket beaches were closed to swimming due to debris that washed ashore.”

We know one person who will not be bothered by this malfunction. President Barrack Obama is vacationing in his Martha’s Vineyard home. We suspect he is even more thankful for installing three underground propane tanks rather than relying on the renewable energy he has pushed so much.

The fact of the matter is wind turbines increase our dependency on Chinakill wildlife and often fail when needed most. That is why we see eco-left elites like Obama installing huge propane tanks rather than practicing what they preach and relying on renewable energy.
