Members of the Navajo Nation Fight to Develop Mineral Rights March 12, 2020 The eco-left would have us all believe that when it comes to energy development on tribal lands, there is only one side of the story. Once again, they’re wrong. Members of the Navajo Nation recently traveled to Washington to fight for the opportunity to develop energy on their own land. These tribal members, called allottees, want to be able to utilize their mineral rights even though they are within a zone that the radical environmental community wants off-limits. At issue is a 10-mile buffer zone around Chaco Canyon National Park. Allottees are fighting for a 5-mile zone which would allow for more development to provide critical revenue for their families. As expected, the eco-left is silent as the tribal members work to undo the damage of environmental over-regulation. Back to Blog Posts
