Media Pushes False Narrative on Wind Beating Coal

It started with a report from the Biden-Harris Energy Information Administration and now the legacy media can’t get enough of it. However, there is one problem: their claim isn’t true.

The false claim: Wind power is the future because it out-produced coal for two months this year.

The truth: Wind production outpaced coal during the two months of the lowest energy demand. Likely due to that low demand, coal-powered generation is deliberately cut back.

The reality is that coal-powered electricity is flexible and reliable. The eco-left and their friends in the media celebrate the “affordability” of wind power while ignoring the billions in taxpayer subsidies wind requires.

Meanwhile, power grids across the country are under growing stress because the Biden-Harris administration shuts down coal plants in favor of electricity that doesn’t work when the wind doesn’t blow.

Wind energy is expensive and unreliable. No amount of fawning press coverage will ever change those facts.
