Watch out, earth! Here comes Bloomberg. The United Nations has just named him “Special Envoy for Climate Action”. Emboldened with all the power and immunities of an international diplomat, Mayor Mike will surely try to bring the same decimation of energy jobs to other countries. See, Mayor Mike doesn’t like coal, so he’s willing to spend millions (for him, pennies) on putting coal miners out of work. Third generation in Appalachia? Pish Posh. Member of the Navajo Nation on your own land? Doesn’t matter! He wants it all to go. I’m sure the view from his 14 homes doesn’t look out over a coal mine or a coal plant, and surely his neighbors aren’t coal workers. So it’s easier to sleep at night (even on a million dollar sofa) not seeing the moms and dads he put out of work. We wonder if Mayor Mike has been to the part of West Virginia and Texas and New Mexico he and the Sierra Club have ravaged. Probably not…

So hold on to your (energy) jobs while you can, good folks around the world. When Mike wants to affect change, he will do so even against the will of the people. Whether they like it or not.
