Land of Enchantment

Traveling around the state talking to the men and women who work in the energy industry- those who Power The Future- we’ve been lucky enough to see how truly beautiful New Mexico is. Just the drive from Albuquerque to Farmington is a wonder of sites, heights, temperatures, weather and beauty. It’s a magnificent state.

One of our core beliefs is that environmentalism isn’t opposed to energy. When we talk to New Mexican energy workers and ask them “do you care about the earth” they will share with you stories about their love of New Mexico’s natural beauty, their love of hiking and fishing and skiing. In that sense we are all environmentalists! We all want a beautiful, clean, healthy planet. Jonathan, an energy worker in the Southeast reminded us “I live here. Just a few miles down the road. This is my home.”

But we also know that energy makes our way of life possible. And Power The Future will always stand with those hard working Americans when outside groups try to take away their energy jobs because of misguided, politically motivated activism. No one benefits from poverty and unemployment, not people, and not the planet.

This video is dedicated to the Land of Enchantment, and the hundreds of people we’ve met in out travels to tell the story of the New Mexico energy worker. You are blessed with tremendous natural beauty, New Mexico. A real treasure for our entire county.
