Earth Day Reminder: Ignore The Hot Air From Eco-Left Alarmists Warning Of Climate Crisis

This Earth Day will likely bring even more alarmist predictions from the eco-left of a climate crisis. Despite their predictions of doom and gloom, the most alarming thing we have to worry about on Earth Day is all the hot air being produced by these radical green interests. To no one’s surprise, their predictions have consistently proven to be not even close to true. In the spirit of Earth Day, below are a few of our favorite failed predictions. 

One of the most famous eco-left warriors Al Gore, said during a speech at the Copenhagen Climate Conference in 2009 that there was “a 75% chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years.” (Fox News, 1/22/2023)

Eco-left darling Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said in 2019, “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” (USA Today, 1/22/2019)

President Biden’s climate czar John Kerry, wrote in 2009, “The truth, is that the threat we face is not an abstract concern for the future. Scientists project that the Arctic will be ice-free in the summer of 2013. Not in 2050, but four years from now.” (RealClear Energy, 12/30/2020) 

These failed predictions may seem fun until you realize these people have the power to influence policies that harm the American energy sector. The energy industry brings economic prosperity, national security, and job creation to the United States. Yet the progressive left continues the war on fossil fuels, pushing radical policies that harm American households. We hope you celebrate Earth Day by thanking an American energy worker who works hard every day to make sure we can responsibly use the earth’s resources to power our lives.
