Biden Wants Energy Security for Europe but Not the USA

This week marks the one-year anniversary of the war on Ukraine. President Biden visited Ukraine to highlight the anniversary and met with President Andrzej Duda of Poland in Warsaw. During his remarks, President Biden discussed plans for Poland’s energy security.

President Biden remarked, 

“And we’re also launching a new strategic partnership with plans to build nuclear power plants and bolster Poland’s ener- — energy security for generations to come.”

It is ironic for President Biden to worry about Poland’s energy security when he has done nothing but take away our energy security and independence here at home for the last two years. Biden is harming our energy security by draining our Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR). He recently announced another sale of the SPR, taking the number of barrels in reserve to a new low dating back to 1983.
