Biden Pushes Green Policies to Make Energy More Expensive

As millions of Americans endure frigid temperatures during a brutal cold snap, the Biden Administration is doubling down on green policies, driving up energy costs and making it harder for families to stay warm. These latest actions prove that Joe Biden is working overtime to ensure his assault on American energy continues as he prepares to leave office.

“As Americans face bone-chilling temperatures, Joe Biden is working overtime to make energy more expensive and less reliable,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “Voters soundly rejected the Biden energy agenda at the ballot box, but he pushes ahead with new rules proving that he never cared for working Americans. From banning offshore drilling to forcing families to replace their water heaters, Joe Biden’s green dream is a nightmare for families.”

The Biden administration had four years to push their eco-left agenda. Now that the American people have resoundingly rejected his agenda, he forces the most extreme policies.  Some of the actions the Biden Administration has implemented since Election Day include: 

• President Biden handed down a new executive order to prohibit new offshore oil and gas drilling along vast swaths of the U.S. coastline, including the Atlantic Coast, eastern Gulf of Mexico, and portions of Alaska. 

• The Administration is targeting home appliances once again, pursuing a misguided effort to phase out traditional water heaters in favor of expensive, government-approved alternatives. 

• The Biden Administration announced rules around their Natural Gas Tax that was hidden within the Inflation Reduction Act. The new fee will raise the cost of home heating for Americans who use natural gas.
