As Prices Rise for New Mexico Families, Lujan Grisham’s Support Plummets October 25, 2022 A new poll of likely voters shows New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham trailing challenger Mark Ronchetti with two weeks until election day. Conducted late last week, the poll shows support for Ronchetti at 46.6 percent ahead of incumbent Lujan Grisham at 45.5 percent and made national news with the words “upset alert.” The poll was also conducted as news broke that New Mexicans will spend 73 percent more to heat their homes with natural gas compared to when Governor Lujan Grisham first took office. As energy prices skyrocket for New Mexico communities, Governor Lujan Grisham is facing real electoral jeopardy. She has been right in line with President Biden and his war on American energy producers. Now, the people of New Mexico aren’t having it anymore. “New Mexico’s families are paying more for everything thanks to Joe Biden’s man-made energy crisis and it looks like they’re not happy with a Governor who supports it,” said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “Energy is on the ballot this election and it looks like New Mexicans are sick of the failures delivered by the eco-left status quo.” Back to Blog Posts
