Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Slams Nancy Pelosi On The Environment July 11, 2019 The public feud between Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi grew more heated yesterday, with AOC slamming Pelosi over environmental policy. If you haven’t been paying attention, the brawl between Ocasio-Cortez and Pelosi spilled out into the open this week, with AOC attacking Pelosi on Twitter, and Pelosi responding in kind, calling out AOC for living in a “Twitter world.” AOC does live in a Twitter world, as evidenced by the fact that her extreme eco-policies only make sense if you’re a far-left Twitter warrior. No one living in the real world would support the Green New Deal, or as Pelosi once derisively called it, ‘the green dream, or whatever.” That was some well-deserved shade. But AOC is not taking this all lying down. Yesterday, she attacked Pelosi again, this time over the environment. The Observer reports that AOC “accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) of neutering a climate change committee earlier this year, escalating a series of public attacks the two have waged on each other through social media and the press.” “I had made very specific requests, which I thought were rather reasonable, for the select committee on climate change,” said Ocasio-Cortez. “And none of those requests were accommodated. And so I didn’t join the committee.” Here’s one detail Ocasio-Cortez conveniently left out – last fall, she joined extreme eco-activists from the Sunrise Movement as they occupied Nancy Pelosi’s office to push for dangerous eco-policies. It’s no wonder Pelosi decided not to reward Ocasio-Cortez for her activist stunts, and it’s no coincidence that Pelosi has not called the Green New Deal for a vote. It’s a shame, because AOC’s signature policy proposal deserves to go down in defeat, just as it did earlier this year in the Senate.
