A Love Letter to Energy Workers

A Love Letter to Energy Workers

February 14, 2025

To the American men and women who power our world,

On this Valentine’s Day, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation for you.

We see you. We see you before dawn, lacing up your boots, braving the heat of the refineries, the cold of the drilling fields, the long hours of the mines. We see the sacrifices—missing loved ones, the calloused hands, the sleepless nights spent ensuring that all our homes stay warm, our hospitals stay running, and our industries stay moving.

You have built the backbone of modern society. The roads we drive, the electricity that lights our nights, the fuel that carries us across continents—it all exists because of your labor, your expertise, and your relentless work ethic. From the coal miners of Appalachia to the offshore riggers in the Gulf, from the refinery workers in Texas to the pipeline crews in the Rockies, you have given us the gift of energy, the heartbeat of progress.

You do this work not because it is easy, but because it matters. Because you take pride in what you build, in what you extract, in what you refine. Because, for generations, this work has put food on the table, sent kids to college, and lifted entire communities into prosperity. You have weathered boom and bust cycles, industry shifts, and policy debates, yet you remain steadfast, committed to keeping our world powered. And for the last four years, you’ve done it while Washington politicians demeaned you.

Thank you. Thank you for your resilience, for your grit, for the unseen and often unappreciated labor that has built and sustained our way of life. On this day of appreciation and love, we recognize you and all that you do.

With deep respect and gratitude,

Power The Future
