The First 24 Hours: President Trump Begins March Toward Energy Dominance January 21, 2025 Yesterday, we welcomed a new administration to the White House. President Trump wasted no time, immediately issuing executive orders to help our energy sector. The executive orders included repealing energy production restrictions, removing the Biden electric vehicle mandate, and stopping the reckless spending on failed green projects. “Families are still facing impossible choices between heating their homes and putting food on the table, so an emergency is exactly what they are facing,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “With President Trump behind them, our energy workers are ready to deliver oil, natural gas, and coal at massive levels which will make energy affordable and reliable to millions of homes across the country. Immediate and decisive action is what is needed to begin to repair the damage of the last four years of failure and put our country on the road to American energy dominance, and that’s exactly what President Trump has done.” The majority of the actions coincide with recommendations outlined in Power The Future’s 2025 Energy Policy Roadmap, which is designed to reverse the damage done during the previous administration while lowering costs and making our nation more secure. Actions taken by President Trump in the last 24 hours that are part of PTF Energy Roadmap include: Rescinding Biden’s Anti-Energy Executive Orders: President Trump signed orders to reverse previous administration policies, including withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement. Ending Biden’s lease moratorium by declaring a national energy emergency: President Trump declared a national emergency on energy to expedite fossil fuel infrastructure development and increase energy production. Reversing Failed Electric Vehicle Mandates: President Trump rescinded policies around electric vehicle production, aiming to reduce costs and expand consumer choice. “If you’re a fan of American energy, the last 24 hours are like Christmas all over again,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “However, this fight is just beginning because it will take time to undo the failures of the last administration, as well as pass new laws that can’t be undone by future administrations. Make no mistake: It is American energy liberation day and we’re just getting started.” Back to Blog Posts
