Walz Fumbles: Harris’ Energy Failures Take Center Stage at VP Debate

In this week’s Vice Presidential Debate, Governor Tim Walz struggled to defend Vice President Kamala Harris’ disastrous energy policies. While Walz tried to put a positive spin on Harris’ record, the facts spoke for themselves. Harris’ green agenda has been a nightmare for American energy workers, and Walz’s attempts to defend it fell flat. As Power the Future Executive Director Daniel Turner said following the debate:

“Tonight JD Vance spoke the perfect truth: American energy is the cleanest energy in the world period. Not surprisingly, Kamala Harris is outsourcing energy to Chinese-made solar panels and Iranian oil exports with disastrous consequences.”

Harris’ energy policies have been a gift to our foreign adversaries, all while hurting American workers. Her push for Chinese solar panels and her silence on Iranian oil exports are just the tip of the iceberg. Her radical green agenda has been a job killer, plain and simple. Turner continues:

“However, Tim Walz did finally briefly reference the Green New Deal, which are the last three words Kamala Harris wants voters to hear.”

Walz’s brief mention of the Green New Deal was a rare moment of truth during the debate. Harris has been trying to distance herself from the controversial law, but her record speaks for itself. She co-sponsored the Green New Deal in the Senate and has been pushing radical environmental policies ever since. No amount of spin from Walz can change that fact.

This debate was a stark reminder of how woke energy policies are enormously unpopular by the people they affect most. American energy workers deserve policies that, at a minimum, do not outsource our energy to our adversaries. It’s time to stand up for American energy and reject the radical green agenda.
