Kamala’s Fracking Flip-Flop: How the Left is Erasing Her Radical Record

Since the former border czar, Kamala Harris, has replaced Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee, there has been a coordinated effort by her allies to erase her far left and dangerous record on significant issues. One of these issues is Harris’ stance on fracking; in 2019, while seeking the Democratic nomination, she made it clear she favored a total ban, but now the left-wing media is denying it ever happened. 

During a “CNN Climate Crisis Town Hall” in 2019, Harris declared,

“There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking, so yes. And starting — and starting with what we can do on day one around public lands, right? And then there has to be legislation, but yes — and this is something I’ve taken on in California. I have a history of working on this issue.”

Somehow, her campaign still claims that her past stance on fracking is a falsehood. Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future, commented,

“Vice President Harris is trying to hide behind anonymous campaign statements and her friends in the media are doing all they can to let her get away with it. According to Harris’ own words, she wants to ban fracking. If she’s reversed her position 100 days before an election, she needs to explain the rationale. We deserve to know if Kamala Harris was lying in 2019 or if her campaign is lying now.”

Undeniable aspects of the Biden-Harris record on US energy include blocking the Keystone pipeline, halting the development of ANWR, electric vehicle mandates and crippling our energy sector. There is no doubt that if Harris is elected in 2024, she will continue the war on American energy that her current administration began.
