The Eco-Left Want You to Participate in Tofu Turkey Tuesdays November 28, 2023 The United Nations agency that oversees food and agriculture is expected to release policy guidelines calling on the West, including the United States, to reduce meat consumption drastically. Fox News reports, “The UN’s Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) will publish its so-called global food systems’ road map during the upcoming COP28 climate summit in Dubai which will kick off on Thursday and extend nearly two weeks until mid-December. FAO’s first-of-its-kind document will recommend nations that “over-consume meat” to limit their consumption as part of a broader effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions…In addition to issuing guidelines for reducing meat consumption in the West, the FAO is expected to highlight how farmers should adapt to “erratic weather” and tackle their emissions produced from food waste and use of fertilizer, according to Bloomberg. The recommendations, which the U.S. COP28 delegation may sign onto, will not be binding.” The eco-left has tried this before. In her failed “Green New Deal,” Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) wanted to eliminate cows. Unsurprisingly, this idea was not taken well as the American people are able to think for themselves and decide what is best for them regarding agriculture and what to eat. “It’s unclear which will come first: the UN taking away your hamburger or Joe Biden confiscating your gas stove so you can’t cook it,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “This is the epitome of the extreme climate agenda: John Kerry may want us to serve tofu next Thanksgiving, but America’s ranchers and families can choose for themselves without the help of the UN.” Back to Blog Posts
