Energy Zero: Climate Activist Art Vandals December 26, 2022 It’s hard to miss our next group of energy zeros because they have been making a mess all over museums across the globe. It’s climate art vandals! This group of extreme activists are trying to destroy famous pieces of art by throwing food and paint on them. They most famously threw cake at the Mona Lisa, but their art attacks go well beyond that. Fox News reported, “Radical climate change protesters worldwide are increasingly using priceless works of art and art galleries as political fodder in their activism. On Sunday, two activists from the group Letzte Generation (Last Generation) threw mashed potatoes at a $110 million Monet painting in a Potsdam museum. That came just nine days after cans of tomato soup were emptied over a van Gogh painting by members of ‘Just Stop Oil,’ the same group whose members glued themselves to the frame of da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’ at London’s Royal Academy of Arts and John Constable’s ‘The Hay Wain’ in the National Gallery in July.” This group of radicals claim they are raising awareness about climate change. All they are doing is embarrassing themselves, damaging beloved art, and hurting their own cause. Instead of throwing food at art, maybe they should throw in the towel on their extreme views. For accomplishing nothing and trying to ruin art, these climate vandals are a PTF Energy Zero of 2022. Energy Heroes and Zeroes Back to Blog Posts
