“Energy Hour” Broadcasts Feature Top Alaska Congressional Candidates

Every Tuesday night, Power The Future broadcasts its “Energy Hour” radio program on KVNT (1020 AM, 92.5 FM in Southcentral, or online anywhere at 1020KVNT.com) from 5:00-6:00 PM.

The show, hosted by Alaska State Director Rick Whitbeck, typically features updates on Power The Future initiatives, a look at recent energy-centric activities throughout the state, and a call-in from Daniel Turner, Power The Future’s Executive Director and Founder.

The second half of the show features a guest or two, with discussion on Alaska’s resource development opportunities, politics or upcoming events the typical topics.

Right now, Rick is focused on interviewing some of the 48 names currently on the ballot to succeed Don Young as Alaska’s lone U.S. Congressional Representative.

Tonight’s guest is Nick Begich III, a businessman from Eagle River, who filed against Congressman Young prior to his passing.  You can catch the show live, or listen to it once it is archived on SoundCloud.com.

On May 17th, Rick will talk with former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin.
