New Mexico’s Eco-Left Parties While Native American Families Burn Clothes to Stay Warm February 27, 2020 For all the whining from the eco-left about the influence of money in politics, you would think they’d have a little more self-awareness. The New Mexico Legislature just wrapped up its 30-day session and one radical eco-left group is among the biggest spenders. Conservation Voters of New Mexico (CVNM) spent nearly $23,000 during the session to wine-and-dine the state’s lawmakers. According to reports, CVNM spent more than $17,000 on a dinner at an upscale Santa Fe hotel and spa. Additionally, they spent $5,600 for a dinner hosted by the Democratic Party of New Mexico. No doubt the almost $23,000 spent will pay dividends with CVNM’s Santa Fe allies. However, contrast this high dollar spending with Native American elders who are burning their clothes to stay warm because a local coal mine is now closed. It looks like New Mexico’s eco-left is content to party while some in the state are just trying stay warm. New Mexico Back to Blog Posts
