Jay Inslee Makes Eco-Extremism His Presidential Campaign Platform

March 1, 2019

This morning, Washington Governor Jay Inslee made it official – he’s running for president, and he believes an eco-extremist platform is his ticket to victory.

Inslee’s presidential launch video is exclusively about global warming, and Axios explains that his policies will be “climate-focused.” Already, Inslee’s policy proposals sound just like the “Green New Deal,” with “100% clean energy” and “fighting for environmental justice and economic inclusion” for low-income communities.

But take one look at Inslee’s record in Washington, and you’ll see that his plans would have decimated low-income communities if the state’s residents didn’t step up to stop them.

Inslee made forcing through a carbon tax on the people of Washington his signature issue, and he failed miserably. In both 2016 and 2018, voters rose up to defeat his carbon tax initiatives, despite millions in funding from eco-activist billionaires like Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg. Washington residents correctly understood Inslee’s tax hike plan to be an assault on their pocketbooks, as the taxes would have hit low-income families the hardest.

Now that Jay Inslee has failed to force his extreme agenda on the people of Washington State, he’s decided to take his eco plans nationwide.

If Jay Inslee’s unsuccessful record in Washington is any indication, his plan to take his eco policies nationwide is on a path to failure.
