FERC’s Richard Glick Faces Criticism from Fellow Commissioners as Blackouts Loom

Blackouts are looking increasingly likely as the summer continues to heat up. A share of the blame lies with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Chairman Richard Glick – one of the many bureaucrats pushing Biden’s Eco-Left agenda from all government angles.

Bloomberg Government reports on the criticism Glick is receiving from his fellow commissioners:

“Republican Commissioner James Danly urged the commission to take greater action when state clean energy policies threaten reliability and to build out natural gas infrastructure. He said he was skeptical the commission’s transmission efforts would solve the reliability problem and that it will take “some catastrophic event” for regulators to finally wake up…Asked about Danly’s comments, Glick told reporters Danly was “prone to hyperbole, and so I don’t really think there’s much there.”’

Glick will have difficulty calling it ‘hyperbole’ when Americans are baking in the heat with no respite. We have already seen examples of the electric grid being overwhelmed in Texas, and more states will follow as the summer heats up. President Biden has renominated Richard Glick to continue to lead FERC. His nomination must not go through, and the Senate needs to vote no on Glick.
