The Out-Of-Towners: Eco-Left Works to Stuff New Mexico’s Methane Hearings with Out-Of-State Activists

July 25, 2019

New Mexico will host three meetings in the coming weeks designed to receive public input on new regulations around methane in the state. For now, we’ll put aside the likely fact the eco-left is already in constant contact with government officials to write the rules and focus just on the hearings.

The first such hearing takes place early next and an invitation from the eco-left caught our attention. The “Call to Action” by the San Juan Citizens Alliance is clearly asking for out of state help:

You might remember not too long ago we took a look at the job-killing activities of the San Juan Citizens Alliance. Asking for out of state help is nothing new for this group when you consider 97 percent of their funding comes from outside of New Mexico. It appears their well-funded operation will be providing lunch and talking points for anyone who attends the hearings.

During those upcoming hearings it will be extremely interesting to see if those who speak from the eco-left are those who actually live and work in the areas that will see job losses from over-regulation. No doubt activists from Santa Fe will be in full force and if the eco-left has their way, even those from out-of-state will be there too.
