The Climate Grift Exposed: Obama Campaign Alum Lands Billions After Green Flop
The more we learn about the Biden EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), or as it’s better known as the $20 billion green slush fund, the more it becomes clear this wasn’t about “fighting climate change.” It was about funneling massive sums of taxpayer money to political allies.
The Daily Caller just uncovered that Donnel Baird, a former Obama campaign operative turned green entrepreneur, whose company, BlocPower, failed to deliver on major promises in cities, yet somehow, he landed a seat on the board of a Biden-chosen group receiving $5 billion in EPA funding. According to the report:
“BlocPower made headlines in 2021 when the company partnered with Ithaca, New York, to decarbonize 6,000 buildings in the liberal city, but the company only completed a handful of projects in town before sunsetting its partnership and effectively “disappearing” from the scene, according to local outlet WSKG.”
Yet, that didn’t stop the Biden-Harris EPA from handing the Coalition for Green Capital, where Baird now sits on the board, a multibillion-dollar award from the Inflation Reduction Act’s climate funds. This is the definition of failing upward doing so with your tax dollars.
Meanwhile, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin is fighting to claw the money back, calling out what he and others have identified as waste, fraud, and abuse. Zeldin stated:
“The American people deserve accountability and responsible stewardship of their tax dollars,” Zeldin said earlier this month. “We will continue to deliver.”
A failed green company. A politically connected founder. A seat on a board receiving $5 billion in taxpayer cash. This isn’t climate policy; it’s the swamp at its worst.
Thanks to the Trump administration and the new EPA leadership, the grift is being exposed, and accountability is finally on the horizon.
