Supporters of New Mexico’s Green New Deal Celebrate as Hundreds Lose Their Job

Hundreds of New Mexico’s energy workers are set to lose their jobs, and the radical environmentalists who worship a “just transition” are nowhere to be found.

In a front-page cover story, the Farmington Daily Times is reporting on the layoffs and the fact that funding designed to help the workers isn’t available. These workers and their families face an uncertain future because of New Mexico’s eco-left politicians and radical environmental groups.

In 2019, New Mexico passed its own version of the “Green New Deal,” which supposedly included taxpayer support to help ensure a “just transition.” Not surprisingly, the workers set to be laid off haven’t seen a dollar of that money.

Despite the fact these groups have vast amounts of money to spend supporting their political candidates, they are nowhere to be found when it comes time to help. To make matter worse, they have the arrogance to call the situation a “win.”

The eco-left would prefer these workers stay silent and fade away. However, they took the time to speak up and we believe everyone should take the time to listen.
