Power The Future Slams New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham for Energy Failures in New Video

Over the last six months, New Mexico’s families have endured record prices at the gas pump and are still paying the price for once-in-a-generation inflation, driven by Biden’s surrender of American energy independence. Biden has delivered this failure with the help of key supporters such as New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham, who demonizes the energy industry which funds her inflated state budgets. Ahead of the closing of the coal-powered San Juan Generating Station (SJGS) near Farmington, Power The Future launched a new video highlighting the shared extreme energy views of New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and President Joe Biden. 

Governor Grisham, who strongly supports the elimination of fossil fuels, pushed to close the SJGS, before reversing course this summer in order to avoid electric blackouts during her re-election. Its closure will put hundreds of New Mexicans out of work and is expected to lead to higher electric rates for citizens across the state. 

“Michelle Lujan Grisham and Joe Biden tell us the same lies for the same reason: because their extreme green agenda always comes first,” said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “Imagine the outcome if Governor Lujan Grisham actually stood for New Mexicans against these hardships instead, she cheerfully follows Joe Biden and we’re all paying the price. Hundreds of New Mexicans will lose their jobs, families will struggle with higher rates and the blame lies squarely with Michelle Lujan Grisham.”
