Obama’s Green Anger

“Right now I could take, off the shelf, existing technologies, we could reduce carbon emissions by, let’s say, 30%… the reason we don’t do it is because we are still confused, blind, shrouded with hate, anger, racism, mommy issues.”

For Christmas, let’s get this man a new teleprompter.

In a recent forum, former President Obama shared his wisdom with a willing audience and, luckily, a camera.  And there is so much to unpack here… the “existing technologies” which only he seems to know about, one could wonder why he never took these technologies “off the shelf” during his 8 years in office, especially when 30% reductions in carbon emissions were on the line!

Was it because of mommy issues…

It’s curious a former present would accuse the nation of being “fraught with stuff” as an explanation for its perceived Luddism.  America seems to advance every day in energy, health, science, business… heck, Obama was a firsthand witness to the fracking revolution which is continually increasing oil and gas production, and contributing to falling prices.  And for the tens of thousands of coal miners who Obama put out of work for political expediency in his manufactured “war on coal”, is the loss of income, community, and way of life such a non-issue that they should just accept their fate?

But the main takeaway from former (!) President Obama’s remarks, besides the blanket sanctimony, is the implied solution: government.  The “Green New Deal” pushed by people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders is rooted in the deep belief that only the government is good enough, pure enough, righteous enough to save mankind from itself.  When “climate change” is the root of all problems, government takeover is the solution.

Americans (even those shrouded with hate, anger, and racism) are preparing to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Here’s what Power The Future is thankful for: private energy companies which are bolstered by millions of men and women working hard every day (Thanksgiving included!) to power the economy, power the nation, and power the future.  And make this pledge: that we will always fight the thinly veiled socialism of people like Obama and other green radicals who push their agenda on the land of the free.
