New Mexico Environmental Group Creates Fake Award to Gain Attention and Then Celebrates Their Lie

April 15, 2021

When radical environmentalists completely make things up they call it a “creative hook,” but the rest of us know it’s an outright lie.

According to a (now retracted) story, the radical environmental group Youth United for Climate Crisis Action completely made up an entire oil and gas association as well as a fake award. Their plan was to then protest the fictitious group giving out the fake award all in an effort to get media attention for a protest.

Every environmental group in New Mexico should be condemning such deception, but it appears some agree with these dishonest tactics.

To be clear, we’ve been critical of New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for her actions against energy workers. However, lying about presenting an award to the Governor for a protest is low, even by radical eco-left standards.

It all begs the big question: If New Mexico’s radical environmentalists will lie about this, what else are they lying about?
