House Oversight Committee Demanding Answers From Biden Climate Czar

Late last week, Chairman James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Special Presidential Envoy for Climate (SPEC) John Kerry. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee is investigating Kerry’s role within the Biden administration and his secret negotiations with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Fox News reports, “To date, you have failed to respond to any of our requests,” Comer wrote to Kerry. “Yet, you continue to engage in activities that could undermine our economic health, skirt congressional authority, and threaten foreign policy under the guise of climate advocacy.”

There is a pattern of lack of transparency with John Kerry and SPEC. Kerry has ignored multiple requests from the oversight committee in the past two years. Something as simple as the number of employees has yet to be answered.  

“The Committee requests documents and information to understand your role and provide necessary transparency over the SPEC and its activities…As a member of the President’s cabinet, you should be representing the United States’ interests. Your statements, however, consistently show disregard for American national security and taxpayer dollars.”

John Kerry has repeatedly shown that he will not provide transparency to Congress or the American people. Kerry has played a significant role in destroying the American energy sector, and we deserve to see what is happening behind the curtain.
