Hollywood Actor Declares Dangers of Greenhouse Gasses, Continues to Fly Private Jets August 29, 2022 Another Hollywood celebrity is here to tell us of the dangers of climate change before flying away on their private jet. This time it’s Harrison Ford. Ford’s private jet has been making trips all over the Western United States while he attends multiple climate conferences to highlight the dangers of greenhouse gas emissions. Fox News reports: “Ford’s private jet, a multimillion-dollar Cessna Citation Sovereign, has made at least eight trips stretching roughly 5,284 miles and emitting about 35 metric tons of carbon dioxide in less than two months, according to data from ADS-B Exchange and Celebrity Jets. Ford, however, has made regular appearances at global climate conferences, calling upon individuals and government leaders to support efforts to reduce emissions and prevent disastrous global warming.” As Ford has called on nations to cut emissions, his own carbon footprint has dwarfed the average American’s. Fox continues: “But Ford’s jet has emitted more carbon into the environment in less than two months than the average American burns every two years and the average person worldwide burns every nine years. The average carbon footprint of an American is 16 tons a year while the average person worldwide burns about 4 tons a year, according to The Nature Conservancy.” Ford is hardly the first celebrity to talk the talk without walking the walk. White House Climate Czar John Kerry famously said that flying in private jets was the “Only choice for somebody like me.” Yet again, the left elite is here to tell us to “Do as I say, not as I do.” Back to Blog Posts
