Historic Failure: National Average Price for a Gallon of Gas Surpasses $5

June 13, 2022

Over the weekend, our country passed a painful milestone of Joe Biden’s energy failures: the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline cost more than $5. It’s a threshold that no American wanted to see and now we all have to deal with. That price is nearly $2 more per gallon than it was just one year ago. As we enter the summer months when gasoline demand is typically higher, there is no indication that the price at the pump will drop anytime soon.

All of this is a result of the Biden administration’s punishing energy policies and war on American fossil fuels. It’s having the desired effect.

“Joe Biden will react to this latest historic failure the same way he’s reacted to them over the last year: deflection, detachment and distraction,“ said Daniel Turner, Executive Director and Founder of Power The Future. “In his heart of hearts, Biden knows unleashing American energy will fix the pain our families are enduring, but he doesn’t care because his cult green ideology is his highest priority. Sadly, this historic failure will not be the last one forced on Americans before this administration faces a reckoning in November.”
