Another Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Solution To Climate Change – No More Kids?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” includes ridiculous proposals like banning airplanes, eliminating cows, decommissioning all of the country’s nuclear power plants, paying people “unwilling” to work and instituting a government takeover of healthcare.

With such ludicrous policies, you may have thought to yourself, “Surely this is as extreme as one can get.”

Actually, it seems Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has even more ridiculousness up her sleeve.

Over the weekend, Ocasio-Cortez shared with her followers on Instagram live her thoughts about whether it was “moral” to have children because of climate change. She explained, “Our planet is going to face disaster if we don’t turn this ship around. And so it’s basically like, there is a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult and it does lead, I think young people, to have a legitimate question. You know, should – is it ok to still have children?”

Let’s get this straight – Ocasio-Cortez is openly pondering whether it is “moral” to have children in today’s world. What comes next? A government law limiting how many children a family can have?

As Fox News explains, such a law has been implemented in communist countries like China, which until recently had a one-child policy. “Of course, crazy is part of socialism’s DNA. As it turns out, Communist China, a stalwart practitioner of socialism, has already beat Ocasio-Cortez to pondering the link between childbirth and climate change.”

In fact, some Chinese socialists used the one-child policy to argue how China has taken proactive measures to combat climate change, agreeing with Ocasio-Cortez’s overall philosophy.

Fox News reports, “Zhao Baige, a former vice minister of China’s National Population and Family Planning Commission…declared that a strong correlation existed between population growth and climate change, and that China’s implementation of a one-child policy for over 30 years lowered the world’s carbon emissions.”

As we’ve seen with the “Green New Deal,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is willing to push the bounds of what is realistic and decent in the name of environmentalism. Could a Chinese-style “one-child” policy be next?
