Eco-Leftist Mayor Loses Big in New Mexico November 3, 2021 For years, Victor Snover was one of the eco-left’s favorite voices in New Mexico. The (soon-to-be-former) mayor of Aztec was regularly put on display as the “environmentalist mayor in oil country” and in return, he was widely quoted in the media. Snover was so critical to their astroturf messaging, he enjoyed the endorsement of New Mexico’s senior US Senator and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham. However, just like renewable energy, these endorsements failed to deliver any power. Snover was soundly defeated for reelection with 68 percent of his constituents voting against him. Families are upset about skyrocketing gas prices and other results “delivered” by the eco-left. Now, proponents of those failing policies are finding out the consequences also extend to the ballot box. New Mexico Back to Blog Posts
