The current Congressman is Representative Mike Conaway (R), who was first elected in 2004 and is not running for reelection. Republican candidate August Pfluger is running against Jon Mark Hogg (D). Polls: The Cook Political Report has ranked the district at R+32 so it’s seen as solid Republican. This makes Texas’ 11th congressional district the second most Republican nationally.
