New Mexico Representative Sets the Record Straight on ETA and PRC December 10, 2019 As the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission moves forward with hearings on the controversial Energy Transition Act (ETA) at least one Representative is sounding warnings for ratepayers. PRC members have expressed legitimate concerns the law will force electric rates to go up on New Mexico’s families but have faced public smears from ETA supporters for standing up for ratepayers. As part of the public testimony yesterday, Representative Rod Montoya set the record straight on the PRC and ETA telling the commission: After yesterday’s hearing in Santa Fe, ETA supporters rushed to the New Mexico Supreme Court to force the PRC to adopt the ETA.
