BIDEN FLIP-FLOP: The Former VP Says He Will Eliminate Coal And Fracking

August 1, 2019

It’s official, former Vice President Joe Biden has betrayed energy workers and voters in coal and fracking country.

During last night’s Democratic Presidential debate, Biden pledged to eliminate coal and fracking if elected.

Biden was asked if he would eliminate coal and fracking if elected president.

His response? “We would make sure it’s eliminated and no more subsidies for either one of those.”

This is a stunning betrayal. For years, Biden has presented himself as a friend of blue-collar workers, especially those in Pennsylvania, the state where he was born. His pledge to eliminate their jobs is a slap in the face to the coal workers and those who make their living in the fracking industry in that state, as well as other key swing states needed to win the presidency.

Biden used to defend energy workers. Now, not so much.

In 2012, Biden said that “we desperately need coal.” In 2007, Biden even supported federal tax breaks for a proposed new coal plant in Delaware.

It seems the eco-left has taken over and that Biden has decided to join them, rather than fight for what is right.
